We get 2 high and 2 low tides per day, so the 'gravity' of an 'orbiting' moon can''t cause them. The Sun creates an electromagnetic field in our atmosphere. As it circles over us the Sun is the same distance from any given point twice per day, hence causing the tides. Salt water responds to this field due to its conductive properties, creating an opposing magnetic field. Fresh water lakes have small or no tides. The Sun is the masculine positive force while the sea is the feminine reactive force. The Yin and Yang symbol representats how day and night work on our level plane earth. Yang signifies the light and heat of the Sun's positive electric field, while Yin signifies the reactive force to that field resulting in the tides. Even a woman's ovulation cycles or personal 'tide' are tied to the monthly cycles of the Sun and Moon, with the full Moon or new Moon counting the months. As above, so below.
