In this two part series I repeat the process of producing “crystal kratom” from kratom leaf powder. Also included are many of the basic tenets of acid-base extractions; so much so that this video could be considered a general guide to all alkaloid extractions amenable to simple extractions of this type. If there is any way to make it easier to understand I really cannot think of what it is. At some point you just have to jump in and get your hands dirty. If you screw it up then start over and do it again. I didn't get to this point with this extraction by just thinking or reading about it. You cannot expect to either. There is no such thing as being an “armchair chemist”.
