I grew up on the left, and was a liberal Democrat for a long time. The 'left' side of the political debate has completely lost the plot. It is a dumpster fire. It has gone off the rails. Besides those nifty turns of phrases, the left has, through the agent of Corporate Media, become anti-intellectual and violent. This is not only not the way it used to be, but also destructive. The calls for 'uncivil' (read: violent) reaction toward conservatives, libertarians, and Trump supporters is a dangerous brand of divide and conquer. Don't fall for it. It is simply a power grab at your expense.
