This oven concept / prototype shows how solar power can be used in austere situations and remote sites, when there isn't a lot of technology available. Here I test my 100 watt mini portable solar electric oven by cooking both hot dogs and chicken. It is powered by nothing more than a single 100 watt solar panel. Working temperatures of around 300-450 degrees Fahrenheit were observed. This is not a food warmer, it's an actual oven that can bake, roast and even burn or overcook food.
