An explanation of rotations as a transformation that turns a figure around a fixed point which is called the Center of Rotation. How each rotation is an isometry, so the image is congruent to the preimage, its size and shape do not change but it's orientation does change. We construct a rotation using tissue paper. We draw a rotation of a triangle about a point P by the measure of a given angle, making segments to the point, measuring the segments, and connecting the points on the image. We discuss how the center of rotation may be inside or outside of a figure.
