This video (one hour and 28 minutes) shows Fritz Brand, a German truck driver joining the SA (Sturmabteilung) [Storm Detachment] in 1933. The SA was organised by the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) in Germany to provide protection for rallies and meetings against attacks from their political opponents. Leftist thugs from the Communists (Roter Frontkampferbund) [Red Front Fighters Union] and Social Democrats (Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold) [Black, Red, Gold Banner of the Reich] would often attack and disrupt NSDAP activities. Hitler realised that this red terror had to be broken, and it could only be broken by greater terror. The film shows Fritz's successful attempts to persuade his social circle of the danger posed by the Communists and Social Democrats. The film was released in 1933. Heinz Klingenberg starred as SA Mann [Man] Brand.
