KHAARTOUM SINGS a cover version of 'JISE YAAR NA SACHA PYAR MILE' from 1978 HINDI FILM: 'BANDIE'. HINDI is the national language used for the national cinema of India. The film is a B Grade, but the song has a naive and unusual quality. The film starred lesser known singer/actress: SULAKSHANA PANDIT who is now apparently an aged invalid who cannot walk and lives as a recluse in a room watching her old films everyday on video? Sad. KHAARTOUM has had a go at playing the violin line times 10 to make it sound like an orchestra on the tune, plus a bit of Indian harmonium on the bridge. It was a nice little project to do.
