Gobliins 2 - The Prince Buffoon (simply called Gobliins 2 in the US) is a point-and-click adventure game developed and released by French company Coktel Vision, with the US release handled by Sierra On-Line. It also came out for Amiga, Atari ST and classic Mac.
The king of the Goblins is again down on his luck. After having been cursed in the first game, a demon has now kidnapped his son. Once again, a group of Goblins is sent out to fix the problem.
Unlike the first game, where you control three Goblins, you now control two (hence the spelling Gobliins), Fingus and Winkle. Both them are new characters. Several things have changed compared to the first game. The latter had you solve puzzles on series of single screens, and only one of the Goblins was able to take and use objects (and then only one at the time). Now, both Goblins can pick up and use objects, and you have a regular inventory. Also, environments consists of several connected screens .Both characters still have different strengths and weaknesses. Fingus is more cautious and diplomatic, and he is often the only one who can operate mechanisms. Winkle is more daring and scruffy, and he is much less hesitant to take everything which is not nailed down. Unsurprisingly, you need make good use of both characters to progress. Many puzzles require precise timing and a quick switch between characters.
