The first essential element of a happy and harmonious home is a husband and father who loves his wife sacrificially, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. The second essential element however, is a godly and wise wife who recognizes that her happiness, and that of her family, depends on her rejection of the world's ungodly counsel and on her obedience to God instead, therefore recognizing that her duty in the home is to be marked by her willing subjection to her husband's God-ordained role of headship and in so doing, following the example set for her by the Lord Jesus himself.
