An awesome 4-night trip on the beautiful Ouachita Trail. My good friend Robby and I started off at Foran Gap around 1:30 on Friday afternoon and we hiked for about 8 miles and finally found a campsite. The first morning was rather cold and we both had to wear coats and I wore gloves as well. The next few days we spent searching for water and campsites. It's a fairly rugged section through there and it's also very dry until you hit Brushy Creek and from there on to Hwy 27 was filled with water. We had unbelievable weather for the entire trip and it was even warm a few nights where I had to get out of my sleeping bag partway. Overall it was a beautiful 5 days and 4 nights oin the trail and I can't wait to get back out on another trail soon.
