This is the absolute truth. And this many years after this was originally spoken I would add to this that many professing believers need a lesson on what exactly repentance IS and what they need to repent OF.

So many Christians have yet to understand what Oswald Chambers put perfectly into words..” sin is not wrong doing, it is wrong being”. We do not repent of wrongdoing. We repent of wrong being. And THAT is the offense of the gospel. THAT is the essence of the “sin of Adam” and the “fallen nature”. You can spend a lifetime repenting of wrong doing but until you come to the understanding that SIN has little to do with what we do and do not do but EVERYTHING to do with wrong being.

A reality over which we have no control.

Did not cause and cannot cure.

You must, therefore, have outside intervention to be saved from the wrath we are born under and into and totally deserving of.

We must be SAVED by a SAVIOR

God knows His plan. He knows who is His. He knew who will be His. God isn't in our timeline. Predestination involves time. God is outside time.
