Apparently despite grinding every seashell in the area, Shay's dad only managed to get the pH level to 6, one off from where he needs it to be, which a perfect balance of 7. Looks like Shay needs to help him find some more ingredients to adjust that pH level just a little more. He goes back to Meriloft and meets Jessie the bird who's egg is about to hatch. If he can get the egg shells, that would raise the pH level of the sealant. Unfortunately, Jessie won't let anyone hear her close to hatching egg. Shay goes further on towards the giant peach tree. Underneath it, he finds Gus who's in the middle of celebrating after beating his high score on an arcade game by ingesting as much fruit juice to turn his health and his life around. Shay takes one of the peaches. If the pH level gets to high, he has something to bring it back down. He also receives a tapper from Gus then he uses it to help hatch Jessie's egg. Back on the beach, it's time for a math and science puzzle. The pH balance is at 6. The egg shells will raise it by 3 and the peach juice will lower it by 2. Just add each once and the sealant is ready.
