According to some research, 'Little Children' played live by Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, who were discovered by George Martin, followed by chart-topping 1964 hit, the million selling 'Have I the Right?' by The Honeycombs, English beat/pop group, founded in 1963 in North London with Honey Lantree on drums, and part of Herman's Hermits' cover of Earl-Jean's 'I'm into Something Good', which reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart and number 13 in the US in late 1964. On Shindig, July 14 1965. Pretty amazing stuff throughout the Shindig series, more soon, just came across it yesterday. Plus there's some interesting synchronicities in the vids.
