I received this ‘Ask Diane’ Question of the week and wanted to address it because I wish I would have known the truth before I took this toxic medication:
“Hello Diane, My son had terrible acne for years. At that time I was completely bedridden due to Lyme disease and unable to look for a solution.
Unfortunately doctors were of little help too. So we waited for the acne to resolve with time but it didn’t of course. In the end he got scars and he started to take Accutane. Today years later his gut is a mess. He has to be near a toilet all the time.
Can you tell me more about your experience with Accutane and how you solved it please? This is a picture of him now. He looks great but I want him to be healthy above all.
Thanks, Annemie”
Did you know that Accutane is the same medication that is used to treat pancreatic cancer?
As many drugs are accidentally discovered for reasons other than they were created, they realized Accutane was effective at treating cystic acne. Yet no one mentions it’s chemo, so toxic that it PERMANENTLY alters your HPA axis, impairing your bodies ability to produce adequate levels of hormones for your body (and many other issues)
MY OWN EXPERIENCE
My lips have been peeling since I took it 25 years ago (vitamin A deficiency due to Vitamin A receptors blunted from Isotrentinoin
I have had many injuries since including achilles and major back pain, joint problems, disc degeneration
I’ve struggled with IBS (main symptom of Accutane toxicity)
They tell you, your skin will peel drastically, and to wear sunscreen so I anticipated that.
What I didn’t expect though, was for these symptoms to continue after I quit taking the drug, progressively worsening as time went by.
.
Dry skin, peeling lips, fatigue, back pain, stiff joints, constipation, and a bit of depression.
Side effects of Accutane
At present, lawsuits focus specifically on the correlation between the drug and birth defects, ulcerative colitis, depression and suicide, and Crohn's disease. Examples of Accutane Lawsuits To date, Roche has been ordered to pay over $53 million to patients who have used Accutane.
