FRED LEUCHTER may have been the leading expert on gas chambers in the world when he testified during the second trial of Ernst Zundel in 1988 in Canada. Fred was hired to visit the camps and provide a report, which created a sensation when he explained that there were no facilities at any of the locations he had examined that could possibly have served as gas chambers. This was the most remarkable event in those trials, where the first in 1985 was notable for the failure of the prosecutor to produce even a single witness who would testify under oath to having seen anyone – infirm, gypsy, or Jew – put to death in a gas chamber.
