I installed this system a few years. It is a stand-alone system. The factory system is still installed into the factory location and works as designed, independent of this system.

I wanted some more sound so I installed Kenwood Excelon head unit, powering two Kenwood Excelon 6x9 speakers.

I have a rockford fosgate 500 watt amplifier that runs to the 12 inch Kenwood Excelon subwoofer. The head unit is CD, Bluetooth, and USB compatible. I can talk on the phone whilst driving handsfree and there is a remote to control the head unit, since it is mounted behind me.
