Hey! I'm back!!! :D
It's the 1st PunkClock of the Season! ...this one will introduce some new Friends ( With even more to come in the future!!! )
You may notice the absence of my trusty Orange Card Table. Fear not! ...it's just folded up on the other side of the room. More importantly though, check out my nifty new 3 Tier Keyboard Rack!
It's gotten to the point, that the Robots will take over if I don't give them somewhere to hang out!
So that's new & today ( The morning after I recorded this Video ), some more Arms for it came in the mail. Now it can accommodate 7 devices simultaneously! Pretty convenient! ( Next I need to get some lights! )
Another new development, is the Cyclone Analogic TT-78! ...a wonderful, albeit kinda noisy recreation of the famed Roland CR-78 Compurhythm. I've actually had this Box for a few & it was featured on the "Hey! ...where's Otis?" EP ( ...last Track ). But this is it's debut, at least as far as being heard AND seen. I had intended to use it as the Project Clock. But it was sending Note Data to everything connected & creating a sort of Gate or Tremolo Effect. Wasn't digging it.
As such, I turned to an old friend... the Akai TimbreWolf.
Although the Woof can't be heard introducing any Patterns... I appreciate the Clock Contribution√
So Wolf's wearing the watch, 78 Banging the Beats... running out as Kick & Snare on discrete Channels, with the rest of the Percussive Elements on a shared Bus...
into my New Mackie! ( New Friend #3 )
I couldn't pan anything... & it dawned on me this morning, that I accidentally told both of the Tracks I was recording with in Reason, to take Input from the Left Channel of the Mixer. Duh :P
Getting back into the swing of things!
So Wolf keeping time.
TT-78 running Kick, dry to CH 1... Snare, through the Sky Surfer, to CH 2 & the remaining Percussive Voices through the SpringKing... to CH 3.
Next we encounter the Bass Station II, on CH 4... with a Subby Sine.
The Korg Minilogue is kindly providing a duo of oddly Intervaled Chords, with the help of my new June 60 Chorus by TC Electronics ( New Friend #4! [CH 5] )
On to the Roland SH-01a with a rather long Sequence, which you have to dig for a little... but I like it. Would've been nice if I could've exposed it in the Mix a little better ( Panning :[ ) ...what are you gonna do? :]
Finally, the Behringer D is on Noodle Patrol with backup from new Friend #5, the Teisco Delay! I love this Pedal! It's got really nice Modulation options... not to mention the inspiringly quirky Æsthetic!
So that's about it! ...nothing too complicated, just easing back into things.
I hope you enjoyed this upload... & if you're new around here, there'll be another one every Monday until the end of April!
Thanks for dropping by :]
