Mel-O-Toons sometimes erroneously called "Mello Toons", was a series of animated cartoons produced in 1960. It featured various folk tales, Greco-Roman myths, Biblical stories, some original stories by author Thornton Burgess, classic stories, even adaptations of classical music and ballet. The soundtracks were often taken from existing children's records, licensed from the original labels. 104 cartoons, each about 6 minutes long, were produced in limited animation.
In volume 1 you get Aladdin, Daniel Boone, The Kings Trumpet,The Magic Clock, Miguel The Mighty Matador, Noah's Ark, Panchito, Peppy Possum, The Seasons, and Sinbad. Color and black and white. 58 minutes and 12 seconds.
These animated tales from yesteryear are still very endearing and remain a fine source of entertainment for the entire family. Highly recommended viewing for aficionados of animation as well as lovers of cute cartoons.
