Just walk around any non white area in London. Especially the Asian areas in East London. People will stare at you. Pull faces to show they're disgusted. Yell at you. Spit at you. Hell, I was in my work van at traffic lights, and had a woman in a headscarf spit at my windscreen, whilst gesturing that I should leave. Another example was walking through Barking town centre towards East Ham. My friend and I were followed by a group of pyjama wearing Asians, all the way from the station, to beyond the Abbey park where they stopped and watched from a distance. They didn't even try to hide what they were doing either.

Ironically, they probably knew damn well don't even think about venturing into certain US cities like Detroit, of even parts of their own city of NYC. I've been to Chicago & NY a couple of times, and each and every one of my hosts took great pains to spell out the areas I should not enter! Every American does. Every American looks at the racial census when buying or renting a house, or looking at which school to send their kids too. Every american i've ever met, regardless of how liberal overall, at least has some degree of racial awareness. They may well indeed believe its all environment and zero genetics, and can all be neutralized with government intervention. But they still know it exists for the time being.
Europeans, I expect this naivety from. Americans, less so. They've had it on their doorsteps since the beginning.
I figure they had a hiccup free experience in one muslim country and just assumed the rest of the trip would be fine.
Only people I know who've been to Morrocco said if you're a westerner, kids follow you every where, always, demanding money in exchange for some worthless crap. Its incessant, they tell me. Not a nice experience.
I find it interesting though, that they were looking for diversity, and yet NYC is perhaps the most diverse city on earth. To find authenic, unique, un-watered down environments, they had to venture into the third world. The generic, rootless economic zone of NYC, bought about by diversity, perhaps left them feeling empty. Dozens of tribes and nationalities in one place, brought to NYC by one thing only, lust for money. And so thats the paradox of diversity. Isolation allows diverse cultures and races to develop. The mass united by money alone destroys it, regardless of how, on the outside, in the moment, it may look diverse
