Brute Force (1991, Arcade)

Brute Force is a beat'e mup developed and published by Leland Corporation. It was only released in the arcades.

There seems to be no story given. You play a vigilante who cleans up a city of various criminal gangs.
The game can be played with up to three players in co-op. You can punch and kick, which is performed with the same button by holding down the button for a different amount of time. You can also jump and jump-dive. To avoid bullets and others things, you can also duck. Destroying objects and defeating enemies will reveal a plethora of weapons and items. Weapons can be used until they break or run out of amm. If you hold a machine gun, you can pick up rockets which will make the machine gun fire rockets instead (don't ask). Other weapons include time bombs, grenades, stick, whips or balls. Shoes will make you faster, knuckled-dusters and weights increase the power of your punch and kick, while a bulleproof wvest protects you from bullets. A Zip object makes you invincible for a short time, food increases your health or makes you get up faster.
