This is a Norwegian made film taken from a book by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. The film was never released on VHS or DVD. It is hard to find although there are copies on YouTube. However, this seems to be a slightly better copy, unless perhaps you watch all ten episodes unlinked there. This is the whole film. This copy did not come from YT, I hunted it down on my own, but the quality is still not great.
