There has been a torrent of news articles on girls and suicide. The study that prompted this flood showed that in one age group, girls from 10-14 that they have narrowed the gap and now the boys are only twice as likely to suicide instead 4-6 times as often. The articles focus on the importance of finding new ways to help the girls and show them compassion etc while also failing to show the same concern for the vast majority of suicides, the boys.
