Prior to his prolific rise to stardom with his role as Bishop in the 1992 film "Juice", Tupac Shakur was a relatively unknown artist in hip-hop. Upon arriving in Oakland, CA in the late 1980's, Shakur befriended an eclectic group of Bay Area emcees known as Digital Underground. As they catapulted into the national spotlight with their 1990 hit "The Humpty Dance". Digital Underground would take Tupac under their wing and heavily influenced his future success.
