Scientific reasons why soldiers should not cross a crocodile infested swamp.

Today's topic is why it is rather stupid to think that because you have a bunch of military men with regular WW2 infantry weapons, you are not entitled to believe that the poor men have a chance if you insist in making them cross a crocodile infested swamp, either in the name of the emperor or for a fistful of dollars. Granted, a 21st century combat team with all their chainguns, night vision googles and the rest of their grand arsenal and gadgetry may have a chance, but we are talking regular WW2 soldiers with a carbine, a bayonet and a couple of grenades. And it is about them we are talking.
