Ramses II, the pharaoh of pharaohs, sums up in himself all the magnificence of ancient Egypt. This builder king takes us on a journey along the Nile Valley, whose banks are still dotted with breathtaking monuments, such as the temples of Abu Simbel, Karnak and Luxor. His reign was exceptional, almost sixty-seven years. He is today the pharaoh whose true face can best be admired thanks to his mummy, kept in the Cairo Museum. However, his perfect state does not in any way suggest the crazy epic that will be his through the centuries.
Tutankhamun was born only a few decades before Ramses II. If his short reign does not allow this young king to leave a great mark in history, he owes his fame to the discovery, in 1922, of his tomb by Howard Carter.
