Danny Healy-Rae asks why govt didn't close the borders like New Zealand to limit Covid-19 growth

As of April 20th, 2020, Ireland recorded 15,251 Covid-19 cases and 610 deaths
New Zealand recorded 1105 Covid-19 cases and 12 deaths.
New Zealand’s borders were closed to anyone who is not a citizen or resident on Thursday, 19th of March, 2020.

“At no time in New Zealand’s history has a power like this been used, and I recognise how extraordinary it is,” New Zealand’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern said.
“We need to do this for the health of the country, and our people.”

The population of New Zealand is 4.886 million.
The population of Ireland is 4.904 million.
