Now that you mention it Stephens, before the rise of age of the so called Enlightment and Liberalism, jews used to live in ghettos didnt they?. Curious to see that many liberal heads were high grade freemasons(seems connected to judaism) and also seems there were some jews behind the scenes like Spinoza, Zalkind Hourwitz, Abrham Furtado, Jacob Pereyre, Junius Frey and Hartog de Hartog Lemon and Mosses. Seems to me that Clasical Liberalism implementation has been pretty convenient for jews, and when i see certain statements about freemasons made by zionists like Theodor Herzl and analize a bit the changes in different societies thanks to that movement then I understand more how present reality came to be.
