Max Payne remake was announced and so I'm going to examine why exactly the game was such a killer hit back in 2001. The eighth episode takes a step away from mythology and psychology and returns to existential dread as Max chases a scumbag across rooftops on his quest to seek revenge on whoever killed his family. It is noir at its finest and it's everything a man can ask for from a noir game.
