Max Payne remake was announced and so I'm going to examine why exactly the game was such a killer hit back in 2001. In the sixth episode, we go over how Max may be a representation for the Midgard Serpent who poisons the roots of the world tree in Norse mythology. We are also introduced to Alfred Woden, who represents Odin as the one eyed god of wisdom and sorcery, with his sorcery being portrayed right away through a phone call.
