In early 2019, the Agency for Cultural Affairs proposed expanding the scope of the Copyright Act, which only covers music and video, to include comics, photographs, and all copyrighted written material as well. The Japanese government has made promises that these laws will only be used for serious and repeated copyright offenses. But the Japanese government has made many promises in the past. Each promise was abandoned as soon as it became inconvenient. This time will be no different. Fortunately, these proposals did not succeed. But only this time. They will be back, and it is necessary to prepare countermeasures against rising censorship of the internet. To that end, we have another software release to announce: Onion Share
