How to Make Tallow Soap in a Slow Cooker

Here is my recipe for orange-oatmeal tallow soap (hot process):

190g water
67g lye (https://amzn.to/2UgwkD3)
2 tsp ground oatmeal
3 tsp orange essential oil (https://amzn.to/2FI8O9K)
2 tsp fine fresh orange zest (optional)
Instructions:
Melt tallow in slow cooker. Add lye to water and completely dissolve. Add lye mixture to slow cooker and blend with immersion blender until it reaches trace (think vanilla pudding). Cook on low for 45 min-1 hour stirring occasionally (you can add a small amount of additional water at this point if it is too thick). Turn off heat, stir in essential oil and oatmeal, and pour into mold. Allow to sit about 24 hours then unmold and cut. Let cure at least 1 week to allow for moisture evaporation (You can use hot process soap within a day or two, but it will not be as hard). Enjoy!
