Elizabeth Bathory - The Blood Countess

The Countess of Blood (Elizabeth Bathory).

By now most people have heard something about Elizabeth Bathory. At minimum most know that there was some queen, princess, or noblewoman who bathed in the blood of her victims, drank blood, or covered her skin in blood in order to maintain the look of youth.

But what is the truth about the Blood Countess? Did she find the fountain of youth in the blood of young victims? Was she even a mass murderer as she stands accused? What does history say? What are the facts?

In this episode, I offer both aspects but come down decidedly on the side that says Bathory was a serial killer who, along with her massively murderous and psychopathic husband (the Black Knight), tortured her victims for many years prior to turning to outright murder.

In this video I present both the original history that Bathory murdered anywhere from 35 to over 600 victims and I present elements of the revisionist perspective that Elizabeth was a healer who never killed anyone. The second perspective has far too much to overcome according to my research. However, self-professed "vampyres" often promote the revisionist perspective.
