Episodes 40 & 56 of LOGH. Considered by many the best anime of all time. The series has prescient scenes sparsed through its 110 episode run. These episodes serve as a retelling of the history in the universe of the anime. It's clear how the writers used parallels from our history to make a foundational lore in which this anime takes place. I found these two episodes the best filler out any anime out there as it attempts to explain the systems of government (republics, democracy, loss of sovereignty, dictatorships, etc.) put in place by constructing a future history.

I cannot recommend this anime enough. It is criminally overlooked and foresaw a lot of predicaments that we're going through. A lot of it (too much of it) aged really well, like many other great works ahead of their time. If you have the time or are craving top tier media, go watch it!
