A tornado headed toward Iowa City, Iowa, on May 24, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. The NWS issued multiple tornado warning and called for people to take cover. The NWS later said that the tornado moved east of Iowa City and weakened. They added that tornado warnings for the area continued.
