Order of the Griffon is an RPG developed by Westwood and published by Turbo Technologies and SSI. It was only released in North America.
The story takes place in Karameikos within the Mystara setting. Lord Korrigan, the ruler of Radlebb Keep, hires your party of adventurers to investigate strange rumours of vampires, and undead roaming the lands. Before you investigate the keep where the vampire lord is supposed to be, you need to join the Order of the Griffon. Joining the order again requires the fulfillment of four tasks of honour.
Order of the Griffon is one of the few games which uses the original D&D rules, and not AD&D. You have a party of four characters which select you select from pre-made characters. There are seven different classes with three characters each to choose from. Gameplay is similar to SSI's Goldbox games. Combat is turn-based and displayed from top-down, while movement inside towns and dunegeons is displayed from a first person view (with hardly any objects or visible persons).
