Herod's Slaughter of the Innocents: Historical Fact or Legendary Fiction?

Mythicists say because Krishna supposedly had to be saved from a slaughter of innocents, that Jesus isn't real but is just a repackaged myth. In this video I read from an article that suggests Herod was the sort of person who might have done this and just because we don't have evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen.
