Nice Before and After The Attack.

This is the scene of the attack in Nice. It is perfectly clear that for a huge truck to mount the pavement between all those tall street lamps each with a palm tree between them would have been quite difficult to say the least. It is clear from the photo that the area in question is quite obviously closed off to the public. There s not a trace of damage to a lamp or palm tree and yet the front of the lorry was badly damaged. Should that damage have been caused by a collision with a street lamp, it would have been virtually impossible for the truck to force a way over the lamp and the concrete at the base of such a lamp, which would have been pretty sturdy and the folk at the fireworks display would have had plenty of time to clear a passage.
