Failing to acknowledge the Palestinian past is tantamount to denying the ongoing Nakba, the massacres, displacement, and ethnic cleansing at the hands of the Israeli occupation. Thereby, undermining the Palestinian's right to self-determination, identity, and collective memory.

In essence, remembering and honoring the past serves as a testament to Palestine's continued existence. And as long as the Palestinian cause exists, so does Palestine.
