The "thinking man's James Bond", Sir Roger Moore (THE SAINT TV series 1962-1972, 007 movies 1973-1985) is/was a military intelligence operative leaving the British Army as a Captain before getting spy/acting cover training at the OLD VIC theater along with WW2 intelligence officer & Nazi hunter Captain Christopher Lee (Scaramanga in "The Man with the Golden Gun" aka TMWTGG) and Lois Maxwell (Miss Moneypenny in the 007 movies 1962-1985). Moore was a close friend of British spy-assassin, John Ainsworth-Davis (JAD) who rescued Nazi 2IC Martin Bormann out of Berlin with British Commandos led by Commander Ian Fleming from Berlin in 1945--cryptically alluded to in Fleming's book "TMWTTG" and written in detail in JAD's 1996 book, "OPJB: The Last Great Secret of the Second World War" under his pen name of Christopher Creighton. JAD also an actor/writer, directed Moore in a couple episodes of THE SAINT. You can see him in the uber creepy episode "The Devil's Laughter" of the TV show "One Step Beyond" (OSB) whose creator, mysterious (likely Illuminati Satanist) John Newland of WW2 USAAF service--but with inexplicable British accent, said was his favorite episode of the long-running series. OSB is based on REAL events and pre-dates the feel-good "Twilight Zone" of WW2 11th Airborne Division Paratrooper Rod Serling who embedded social commentary in every show's fictional and whimsical what ifs?.
