Siberian Huskies surviving -60°C and Thriving with Humans!

Siberian Huskies are a testament to nature's adaptability, originally bred by Siberia's Chukchi people for sled-pulling and companionship in extreme cold climates. Their dense double coat, comprising a warm undercoat and a water-repellent outer layer, equips them to endure temperatures well below freezing. Remarkably, they can regulate their metabolism to conserve energy and minimise heat loss, essential for survival in harsh conditions. Beyond their physical adaptability, Siberian Huskies have evolved to work closely with humans, demonstrating a unique blend of independence and sociability. This interdependence has been crucial in regions where survival and transportation heavily rely on these resilient dogs, making them not only adept at surviving in frigid environments but also at thriving in partnership with mankind.
