He faces off against Guts Man, Air Man, Quick Man, Gemini Man, Pharoah Man, and Napalm Man. After defeating them all and getting the part, Proto Man heads off to Wily's Fortress to fight Mecha Dragon before facing Wily in his new Skull Machine. After Wily is defeated, Proto Man returns to Dr. Light who wants to discuss fixing Proto Man's defective power core. Proto Man is not interested though and runs off. It's a bridge he'll cross when he comes to it. His power core will fail eventually. What will he do when that time comes?
