Chernobylite , "Non-linear" Survival Horror Experience

It is hard to recommend the game right now, mainly with the price in comparison to the handful of missions and minimal story elements. A lot of what is shown in the trailer isn't present yet and the use of new game + (caused either by dying or hitting a certain Day limit) does allow you to carry over most of your progress, including skipping the story chains to gain new allies and keeping evidence for your search thanks to the last update.

The game looks beautiful, has some interesting concepts, and the open exploration of areas provides a chance to see both at your own pace. That is as far as it goes though with combat being uninspired (due to lack of weapon selection and the bizarre AI moments), voice and sound effects cutting out or missing entirely, and the numerous visual discrepancies mixed with the occasional freezes during loading transitions. The game does run quite well aside from this hiccup, usually maintaining a steady 50-60 FPS. I recommend holding off for the time being, but I do appreciate the steady updates the development team has already pushed out to help make the current experience more enjoyable, even if it does break previous functions (hacking missing now).
