the shofar (ram's horn) is blown on rosh hashanah (jewish 'new year') which begins tomoroow at sun-down and ends after two days at sun-down
on rosh hashanah, G'd created the world (by means of 22 Hebrew letters)
shofarim announce events, the arrival of Hebrew dates and for rosh hashanah, they tell us to 'wake-up' because of teshuvah (english: repentance)
also have a 'sontanwous' Sephardic video which is equally valid but I posted this because his focus and thus 'timing' results in such obviously feeling permeated with the ages old same souund, which comes with the 'wake-up call'
p.s., fine anouncemen, but we know of course, that it is not about his talent which may be conducive for a 'purpose', namely bringing listeners of the shofar blasts closer to explained message from Heaven
(with Guidance from Heaven since shofar blasts, on therefore appointed days, are accompanied with more spiritual 'energy')
