The BIG Grindstone ~ What Was I Thinking?

Why would anyone put this much effort into making a working tool from a big grindstone?
Sure it is a big stone. Quantity has a quality all of its own.
I like to restore tools that were being used before I was born. Some before my Grandfathers were even thought of.
Use to be treadle grinders were as common as cell phones are today. Maybe not quite that much I have two cell phones.
I just counted. I have way more than two grinders. 👍😁 😎
