DCS review and dogfight

DCS Review: I have never played DCS before, now at great expense I have acquired it and Im not impressed actually. The game lacks some basic fundamental things - Things which every good flight sim has. Most glaringly, the views options are non functional. One needs a way to press a button on the keyboard multiple times to cycle through looking at enemy or friendly aircraft, or ground targets in the vicinity. One needs to be able to switch quickly and repeatedly between this lock on enemy view to a standard cockpit forward looking view. In DCS the closest I can get is with NumPad DEL, NUM LOCK and 5 combinations, interspersed with F5 for external enemy lock. Compare this to the excellent view selection system on MS Combat Flight Sim from early 2000's which is the best to date Ive seen. It seems the only possible soloution is to acquire TrackIr at further great expense.
Secondly, The game recording function plays back in error, with the player's plane going crazy shooting at nothing and travelling in a botched way that is not at all consistent with the way the plane was flown. Further amongst other things, the grass looks crap.
