John Prepares The Way of The Lord | Baptism of Jesus & The Road of Righteousness/Repentance -Preview
This is a segment from a larger video I am working on that will showcase the life of Jesus Christ & His Call to Repentance & Forgiveness. The message of the Kingdom of God and the call to repentance and faith are consistent across Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This message underscores the importance of a new relationship with God and a transformed way of life in preparation for the coming of God's Kingdom. Following Christ leads to Eternal Life.
Following Jesus has nothing to do with religion or going to church. He simply wants to have a relationship with you and gives you the free-will whether or not you would like to do so. The following depictions are not meant to be a replacement for the Gospels. Many of this generation are hooked to the internet and I thought this would be an interesting way to reach out to the lost sheep.
Hebrew word for Repent is Teshuvah (תְּשׁוּבָה) - This word is more specific to the concept of repentance and means "return" or "turning back." It is derived from the root "shuwb." Strong's Hebrew number for "teshuvah" is H8666. The Strong's H7725 - šûḇ which is a primitive root of "teshuvah" תְּשׁוּבָה tᵉshûwbâh, tesh-oo-baw'; or תְּשֻׁבָה tᵉshubâh; from H7725; a recurrence (of time or place); a reply (as returned):—answer, be expired, return.
