I know what you're thinking, there's a plot hole here since we saw Goal dead with orange hair instead of purple. Whatever. Time is running out now as the cannon doors are opened and the cannon is ready to fire at anytime. Meanwhile, Rufus 3 attempts to use the cartridge to open the gate when he's caught by Argus. He shows Rufus that Goal is still alive since the Organon have great healthcare and orders Rufus to return the ascension codes or Goal will be thrown off the edge. Rufus 1 & 2 try to buy time for Rufus 3 while Seagull demands an apology from both of them for the shit Rufus put Deponia through. Both Rufuses refuse and Seagull gets impatient and points a gun at them. While Rufus 2 blames Rufus 1, Rufus 1 tries to unplug the cannon and then Seagull loses his shit and shoots Rufus 2. The two Rufuses hide in the cannon while Toni holds back Seagull. Rufus 3 refuses to give the cartridge to Argus and Argus reveals he has the cartridges' backup data anyway and orders Oppenbot to push Goal off the tower. Rufus 3 dives into Oppenbot and rides him down to save Goal. Seagull stands atop the cannon prepared to execute the other Rufus when Rufus 3, Goal, and Oppenbot crash into Seagull. The two Rufuses get inside the tank and drive it into the barrel of the cannon. Rufus 2 dies from his wounds, but there is no time for funeral plans because the high boat has started ascending. All hope is lost until Goal restores everyone's faith in Rufus. All he needs to do is come up with a plan and he does. Everyone and I mean everyone is crammed into the tank and Rufus 1 is now wearing Cletus' clothes fresh from Rufus 3's corpse. The tank is launched towards the high boat.
