Seven Holy Patterns for Making Families Holy

God used the first Christmas and Epiphany to establish His saving patterns. Not surprisingly, we also find the model of the family laid down at Christmas and Epiphany, thus the feast today. With a little reflection, this is what we will find as patterns to be followed: (i) praying and worshipping God together, (ii) keeping to the order established by God—Father, Mother, Children, (iii) parents united in their efforts to raise the children, (iv) respect for elders and those in authority, (v) divorce is a temptation, flee from it, (vi) be thinking on the last things, (vii) we will not always understand each other. Let us conform to this pattern and our families will become holy too and produce saints for heaven.
