The film deals with the psychological after effects of rape, it is not a voyeur showing the act of the rape, which is useless as with repeated rapes the victim's mind usually drifts into another world that is created, as a survival mechanism. This film covers the flashbacks and blackouts, the deep psychological damage of rape. As a survivor, myself Michael Kingsbury, the director, was able to guide the actors through what they needed to know and perform. Needless to say it was very stressful and difficult for them to go to those places.
