The first place winner was Chinese in a Chinese dominated church venue, where 1 of the judges was Chinese & who immediately left the building before trophies were announced. Nothing suspicious there.
The Chinese kid who won? She seriously flubbed her lines on a supposedly memorized speech & had to look at her prepared paper - not allowed at Provincial level. We will post that speech soon.
Then, you can decide for yourself if she was a 1st. prize winner or not. Parents were forced to sign an agreement that all judges decisions were final and could not be challenged. Ok. Opens the door for blatant cheating.
No matter, this kid is now the photo journalist and editor of the local newspaper. He just turned 19. He was home schooled.
BTW, cadet parents display worse behaviour than hockey parents.
